This position protects SIGA's computer and information assets by ensuring that they are available to authorized persons only. The position does this by maintaining current knowledge of evolving threats to SIGA information and IT infrastructure, evaluating risk and potential impact of breaches, recommending and implementing counter-measures, and responding to breaches if required.
Monitoring and maintaining system security controls. Creating and maintaining all associated documentation. Collaborating on researching, recommending, installing and maintaining information security software and hardware. Assisting in the development of communications and education strategies to increase awareness of information security among all system users. Maintaining up-to-date job knowledge through proactive research and development. Conducting security testing relating to application and hardware deployments. Participating in disaster recovery planning and execution. Designing, implementing and monitoring processes, which make up the overall IT Security framework. Participating in other activities as required, to ensure the confidentiality, integrity and availability of SIGA's information and systems.
