Main Duties:
Reporting to the Casino Shift Manager, under the supervision of the Food-Beverage Supervisor, this position focuses on delivering customer service excellence, and quality, value priced dining, by serving food and beverages to guests in an efficient, professional, and courteous manner, whether in the restaurant, outlet, on the gaming floor, or at functions held in the Casino’s Multi-Purpose Room.
Responsibilities include: Providing exceptional hospitality, emphasizing personalized service and attentive treatment, to ensure guests feel welcome and comfortable. Adhering to responsible service of alcohol guidelines. Providing gaming floor beverage service. Restaurant, Bar and Outlet duties include: Taking orders and delivering food and drink to the table. Carrying out basic food preparation. Assembling, wrapping/packaging and presenting hot and cold food and beverage orders. Strictly adhering to safe food handling practices. Maintaining tables in good order by bussing, sanitizing and resetting as required. Performing a variety of side work. Carrying out a variety of cleaning duties throughout the shift to maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Catering & Event duties include: Assisting with event set up. Working as a member of the team to respond quickly and efficiently to event plan changes. Delivering food and/or beverage according to the type of event service. Assisting with post-event tear down and cleaning. Handling other tasks as required, to deliver exceptional hospitality, food and beverage service.
Conditions of Employment
Successful candidates are subject to a background check as well are required to obtain and maintain a gaming employee Certificate of Registration from the Saskatchewan Liquor and Gaming Authority (SLGA)/Indigenous Gaming Regulators (IGR).
The minimum age to work in a casino or any area where gaming can be seen is 19 years of age.
Must possess valid Saskatchewan Driver’s License and acceptable driving record.
Some SIGA locations operate in a high sensory environment. You may be required to work in an environment where you will be exposed to tobacco smoke, high noise levels, flashing and blinking lights, and a congested workplace. SIGA adheres to all occupational health and safety regulations and makes every effort to limit the adverse effects of these elements.
