Main Duties
This position promotes the growth and development of First Nations employment by guiding SIGA’s management in the effective and principled handling of employee relations issues.
Responsibilities include:
Assisting managers in the effective handling of performance and attendance issues.
Collaborating with managers and subject matter experts to develop and implement programs and services that build a positive work environment.
Researching and developing recommendations for consistent and fair employee relations policies.
Gathering information and preparing reports on employee relations across SIGA.
Providing effective management of Employee Relations staff, promoting good relationships and ensuring they have the knowledge and tools they need to succeed.
Conducting workplace assessments to resolve conflict and promote a positive workplace culture that reflects SIGA’s values.
Liaising with external parties on employee issues including Employment Standards and the Saskatchewan Human Rights Commission.
Conducting investigations into allegations of harassment or wrong-doing, or providing support to managers carrying out investigations.
Managing Employee Relations projects, managing all workplace assessments.
