Mission
Big River First Nation values and empowers Education to guide and support each awāsis (child) to reach his/her ultimate potential intellectually, spiritually, emotionally, and physically to promote and develop a strong nehiyaw identity in a respectful, safe, and nehiyaw-based learning environment.
Our goal is to best prepare our students to be contributing and thriving citizens of Big River First Nation and beyond. We strive to provide the highest standard of education to our students by ensuring they receive the best possible academic, cultural, and athletic experience.
The Big River First Nation supports the establishment of a service delivery model as well as standard educational and business processes to enhance the school’s and staff experience for our Nation, which will translate into a more consistent and positive experience for students.
