The Indigenous Innovation Initiative (the Initiative) serves to empower Indigenous people and communities to identify and solve their own challenges through innovative ideas that will transform lives and make positive change. The Initiative seeks to provide flexible funding to Indigenous innovators in Canada, working to solve challenges that will make an impact at all levels of community including nationally. The Initiative takes a holistic approach founded on Indigenous values and knowledge. The Indigenous Innovation Initiative is hosted by and backed by the expert team of Grand Challenges Canada (GCC).
